Improper use of land. Powers of entry and seizure.
Owner’s consent ordinarily to be obtained. Service of notice, etc. Digging of public land. The Government may authorise the Board to impose the tax either in the original form or, if any objection has been submitted, in that form or any such modified form as it thinks fit.

The power of the Board under sub-section 3 of that section regarding confining the dogs suspected to be suffering from rabies is proposed to be vested in the Executive Officer as this is a matter relating to day-to-day administration.
The “sections” in the register shall exactly correspond with those in the pay bill.

Provided that if, when a notice is issued under this section, any land to which it relates has been lawfully prepared for cultivation or any crop is sown therein or is standing thereon, thea[Board] shall, if it directs that the notice is to take effect on a date cntonments than that by which the crop would ordinarily be sown or reaped, as the case may be, make compensation to all persons interested in the land or crop for the loss, if any, incurred by them respectively by reason of compliance with the notice.

The existing penalty for an offence under sub-section 1 or subsection 3 ofsection of the Act is considered inadequate in view of the escalation in prices and is being enhanced. The entries in the pass book shall be initialled by the Treasury Officer and the 192 book returned to the cantonment office where it should be preserved as a substitute for vouchers in support of the remittance.
Notwithstanding any obligation imposed on Boards under this Act, a Board shall not be liable to any forfeiture, penalty or damages for failure to supply water or for curtailing the quantity cantonmsnts if the failure or curtailment, as the case may be, arises from accident or from drought or other unavoidable cause cantonmens, in the case of an agreement for the supply of water under sectionthe Board has made express provision for forfeiture, penalty or damages in the event of such failure or curtailment.
Provided, further, that compensation shall be payable to the owner or occupier for any dmage sustained by him which is directly occasional by the carrying out of any Such operation.
Authentication of assessment list. The Executive Officer may, in cases of emergency, direct.
The penalty for causing obstruction is proposed to atc enhanced in view of the escalation in prices. Time and manner of payment of taxes. To prevent unauthorised occupation of any such street or land it is proposed to empower the Executive Officer to remove any article placed without authority on such street or land and confiscate such article if the person who placed the said articles fails to offer satisfactory explanation.
